How to Train Like Meb Keflezighi

Discovering the training secrets of an elite marathoner is one of the possibilities that Internet gives us.

For that reason, we discovered the following video, in which we can see how the American marathoner who won the Boston Marathon in 2014, Meb Keflezighi, trains.

The following video shows a typical Meb’s training day while training for the London Olympics 2012, where he finished in fourth position.

ADVICE YOU CAN APPLY

Here are some pieces of advice you can for sure apply in you trainings:

– Before hard trainings, prepare your body with dynamic trainings, slow trotting and some drills.

– Never forget to work on your recovery: cooling by trotting slowly, stretching, a cold shower and a nap are some of the techniques used by Meb Keflezighi which may certainly help you.

– Recovery does not end an hour or two after training. Before going to bed is a good moment to massage your legs and prepare them to sleep without inconveniences.
